� � H�D�R Conveyor Pulleys HEAVY DUTY REINFORCED The VAN GORP� H�D�R� Rims of pulleys 14" in diam- eter and larger are formed in custom-designed crown- ing rolls by a cold "forming" process that increases the strength of the steel.They feature two-rim-half construc- tion, an exclusive, perfected technique that permits the use of internal discs in crown and straight face pulleys...and thereby creates a stronger, more rounded finished pulley product. End discs are cut to microme- ter calibration. Rims, discs and hubs are all steel and are fused together by a deep penetrating, submerged arc welding process with back-up bars used under the longitudinal rim welds. The result?
