Both styles are completely incombustible. � Style 250-S is a soft and easily compressible material for gasketing, caulking for oven and furnace doors and expansion joints, as well as woodstoves. � Style 250-D is a firm, dense material that more resembles twisted Rope. Used in applications requiring a more dense material, yet one which will not unravel during installation. � Vermiculite Coated Knitted Tetraglas� Rope is manufactured from texturized fiberglass yarns then coated with Vermiculite, a 100% inorganic dispersion. Vermiculite coated Tetraglas� Knitted Rope will withstand temperatures up to 1500�F constant with excursions to 2000�F.
