KEVLAR CORD BELTS
Kevlar Cord V-belts are used where a customer has limited
take-up on his drive and can't take advantage
of
our Prime
Mover and Maxipower V-Belts. It is available in the same
cross sections as our Prime Mover.
Size Range
Cross-sections A/4H, B/5H, C, D.
Size range A31/4H330 to D240K
For C and 0 sections, numerals in belt size signify inside
circumference (I.C) up to 210," over 210" numerals signify pitch
length. For A/4H and B/5H sections, numerals signify outside
circumference
(O.C)
in tenths of Inches.
How To
Order
For kevlar C and 0 sections, call Elgin Customer Service for
minimums.
For kevlar A and B sections, cross them over to our stock
Power Plus belts described on page 21 and below
WARNING
Because the high strength of Kevlar Cord Belts provide
exceptionally high torque capacities and horsepower ratings
which may exceed standard sheave capabilities, the sheaves
selected must be checked for adequacy. Sheaves, bushings or
other drive components could be destroyed in overload with
potential personal harm and/or equipment damage. Consult the
sheave manufacturer.

PowerPlus belts, offered in 3H,
4H
and
5H
cross-sections,
with kevlar cord, transmit a minimum
of
15% more horse
power than standard belts. They withstand severe shock
load and provide generally longer life than standard duty
belts. They are oil and heat resistant.
To cross a Prime Mover belt over to a PowerPlus belt, change the
"A" to "4H" or "B" to "5H" For an
A,
add two then put a zero
at the end For a B, add three then put a zero at the end .
For example, A60 becomes 4H620 and
B60 becomes 5H630
