Durlon® 9000 Filled PTFE
Pure PTFE resins with homogeneously blended inorganic fillers. Designed for
use in process piping and equipment in chemical, pulp and paper, food and
beverage, and other general industrial applications. Suitable for use in steel
flanges and will not exhibit the cold flow problems associated with virgin PTFE or the hardness problems of some filled
PTFE products. Temperature range: -350°F to 500°F. Maximum pressure: 1500 PSI. Certified for oxygen service at
oxygen pressures up to 585 PSI and temperatures up to 392°F, and for service in liquid oxygen by the Federal Institute
for Materials Testing and Research, Berlin, Germany. Tensile strength - ASTM F152: 2000 PSI. Compressibility -
ASTM F36: 8 to 16%. Recovery - ASTM F36: 40%. Sealability - ASTM F37: 0.02 ml/hr. Creep relaxation - ASTM F38:

25%Glass Filled TFE
75% TFE and 25% glass fiber. Since glass has the least effect on chemical and
electrical properties and adds greatly to mechanical properties of unfilled TFE,
glass fiber compounds have the best balance of chemical, electrical, and mechanical properties of any of the filled TFE
compounds. Glass-filled-TFE seals offer the advantages of the unfilled resin plus longer wear, higher thermal
conductivity, increased dimensional stability, and lower cold flow. Used in applications such as bearings, gaskets,
V-Rings, O-Rings, back-up rings, hydraulic ring seals, non-lubricated compressor rings, value seats, valve liners,
swivel liners, thrust washers, lip seals, standoff and feed-through insulators, and other applications in the chemical,
electrical, and mechanical fields. Tensile strength CD - 2700 PSI. Elongation CD - 250%. Initial hardness, Shore D -
63. Compressive strength CD (0.2% offset) 1240 PSI.
