The cast brass drain vent valve is used with hose racks, attached to the hose end of the rack
nipple, and serves as a means of keeping the hose free of moisture by draining any water
from a leaky valve. When the valve is opened for use, a spring valve closes the drain and
directs all the water through the hose.
